Getting started
Do I need to install anything?+
No. SongChute is browser based and safe to use on any computer, tablet or phone. There is no app or download.
I did not get my verification email.+
Check your spam or promotions folder first. On the "Verify your email" page you can send it again. Accounts that are never verified are removed after 7 days, so you can simply sign up again.
Can people outside Canada and the US sign up?+
Not yet. SongChute is open to Canada and the United States for now.
How do I add songs?+
Paste a chord chart from any site, type your own, or upload a PDF. SongChute sorts it into sections and chords for you. Sheet music PDFs go under Sheet Music.
Bands and gigs
How do I share with my band?+
Open Band, then invite people by email. A band has up to 6 people. New gigs are shared with your band unless you make them Restricted.
How does live follow work?+
On gig night, open the gig in Present and tap Lead. Bandmates tap Follow, and every time you swipe to the next song their screens move too.
Can I print a set list?+
Yes. Open the gig or set list and choose Print. You get a clean list of song names for the stage floor.
Plans and billing
What does the Free plan include?+
Up to 100 songs, 3 set lists, one gig of up to 15 songs, 100 MB of sheet music, and leading one band. It stays free.
What does Member add?+
Unlimited songs, gigs and set lists, up to 5 bands, 5 GB of storage, and the Teachers area for up to 25 students. See Plan & storage in your account.
How do I cancel?+
You can cancel any time from Plan & storage. You keep Member features until the end of the period you paid for, then the account goes back to Free. Nothing is deleted.
Privacy and copyright
Who can see my songs?+
Only you, and the bands (or students) you share them with. Public chord pages show chords only, never lyrics.
Can I get a copy of my data or delete my account?+
Yes. Delete your account from Password & security, or write to us for a copy of your data.
Something on SongChute uses my work.+
Send us a copyright notice and we will review it promptly. Copyright notice form.
